In honor of the 250th anniversary of Valentin Vodnik's birth, the Republic of Slovenia issued collector coins with Valentin Vodnik's profile as the central motif. The lower part of the coin is inscribed with the last verse of the poem Moj spomenik: "NE NE HČERE SINA PO MENI NE BO, DOVOLJ JE SPOMINA: PESMI POJO ME". (No daughter, no son will follow me, memory is enough: songs OF ME).
