Avers

The stylized federal eagle under the twelve stars of the European Union in the center of the coin. Around the eagle the name of the state "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND", the Federal Republic of Germany, the year "2011", the mark of the Munich workshop by the letter "D" and the face value "10 EURO". Under the face value the mention "Silber 625", silver 625‰, to avoid any confusions with the coin struck in cupronickel.

Revers

In the center of the room, Till the Mischievous, a character from German literature who appeared around 1511. Above, at the edge of the listel, the inscription "500 JAHRE TILL EULENSPIEGEL", 500 years of Till the Mischievous. The initials "FB" of the artist Frederic Brenner appear below the character.
