Avers

The face of Joan of Arc, known as La Pucelle d'Orléans, appears in the upper right-hand corner of the coin. Her first and last name "JEANNE D'ARC" is written vertically beside her face. Three fleurs-de-lis are behind her neck, and a sword is at face level. At top left, a 15th-century painting depicts the siege of Orleans in 1428. At the bottom of the coin is the outline of the Lorraine region, with the letters "RF" for République Française above it. Along the scroll is the name of the region "LORRAINE".

Revers

The face value between two branches of laurel and oak, surrounded by the French motto and three hexagons.
