(Republic of Croatia 200 Kuna)
- Revers
- In the center is the chest of the sarcophagus (today stored in the Archaeological Museum in Split) with a relief representation of the Good Shepherd on the front of the central aedicule, and the figures of the deceased, two spouses, on the left and on the right. The sarcophagus was found in the middle of the 19th century at the cemetery complex of the Solin Manastirine, and it dates from the second decade of the 4th century. The circular inscription ‘SPALATUM’ and ‘295. – 1995.’ around the edge. Spalatum appears in the sources as the name of a smaller settlement on the site of Diocletian's palace.
