- Crowned and armored figure of King Karl IX, wearing a long mantle, stands with head turned left. King has outstretched arms with raised sword in right hand and in the left the Globus Cruciger. At his right there is a small table with crossed scepter and key. Three small shields are at King's feet: shield with the Three Crowns of Sweden at left; shield with Arms of the House of Vasa between King's legs; shield with Folkungs Lion at right, below the table. All is within a circle with legend outside, together with the radiant name of Jehovah in hebrew above King's head. (Karl IX, by the Grace of God, King of Sweden, of the Goths and the Wends etc.)
