Portuguese coat of arms (royal crown at top, shield within shield below, scrolls either side). Lettering surrounding. The outer shield contains seven castles. The inner shield contains five smaller shields arranged in the form of a cross; in each of these, in turn, are five pellets. (Maria II, By Grace of God, queen of Portugal and Algarve.)
