Obverse: bears the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine (above) with the semicircular inscriptions НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) above and П'ЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ (five hryvnias) beneath; to the right there is the mark of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint; in the center there is the conventionalized composition: the images of a Lutsk High Castle tower, the Assumption Cathedral in the city of Volodymyr-Volynskyi, an island on the lake of Svitiaz with the coin issue year indication 2014 thereunder, as well as the swan (above) and grain ears with the flax flowers (beneath).
