In the coin center in the circle of conventionalized rays there is a cross and the semi-circular inscriptions ПРАВОСЛАВ’Я (Orthodoxy (above) and ІЗ КИЄВА ПО ВСІЙ РУСІ (From Kyiv all over Rus (below).

There is a multi-figure composition of baptism with the inscription 988/РІК (988/YEAR) below and the semi-circular inscription – ХРЕЩЕННЯ КИЇВСЬКОЇ РУСІ (Christianization of Kievan Rus) above.
