- Obverse
- The face value, in a crown formed by a laurel branch and an oak branch, is surrounded by the inscription: "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE" followed by a star.
- Reverse
- Naked Hercules with leonté, standing in front, unites Liberty standing on the left, holding a pike topped by a Phrygian cap, and Equality on the right, holding the level. They are surrounded by the motto "LIBERTY EQUALITY FRATERNITY".
