Description
1 Franc from France. Issued from 1942 to 1944. Struck in Aluminium-magnesium. Measures 23 mm and weighs 1.3 g.
- Obverse
- Double-headed axe in the centre with an ear of wheat either side, lettering below. Lettering on top and bottom of axe and any mintmark to the left of the axe head (S Pacis LB Petain French State)
- Reverse
- Oak leaves either side of the central numeral, lettering above, lettering below with the date (Work FamilyCountry1Franc1943)
- Edge
- Plain The image shows both heavy KM#902.1 (bottom) and light KM#902.1-3 (top) type
