Description
10 Pesos from Mexico. Issued from 2000 to 2001. Struck in Bimetallic: nickel brass centre in aluminium bronze ring. Measures 28 mm and weighs 10.33 g.
- Obverse
- In the center, the national shield in sculpted relief, with the inscription "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" (United States of Mexico) forming a semicircle above it (United Mexican States)
- Reverse
- In the center, the circle of the Sun Stone representing Tonatiuh with the fire mask. In the peripheral ring, top center, the symbol "$10"; to the left the mint year, and to the right the symbol of the Mint of Mexico "M"; at the bottom, the date. The frame is smooth with an uneven edge. (10 Pesos Mexico City Year 2000)

- Plain with lettering "AÑO" and date repeated three times. Alignment of text was random, so the text can be in both ways, up to Obverse or up to Reverse. (Year 2000)
