500 Lire from Italy. Issued in 1998. Struck in Bimetallic: bronzital centre in acmonital ring. Measures 25.8 mm and weighs 6.8 g.

Female head facing left. The woman symbolizes the Italian Republic with feathered wings coming from temples (symbols of intelligence and freedom). Engraver's name below the neck-cut. (Republic of Italy

Open hand with palm facing up, holding an ear and sorghum stems. Above it a solar globe and a twisted wheat ear, forming the number "20": the years of the anniversary. In the outer ring above the word "IFAD" with its symbol at left divides the dates of the anniversary; value is below with the mintmark at right and the name of the author at left, along the rim. , and a stylised 20 made out of wheat, and the denomination at the bottom
