Description
2 Taka from Bangladesh. Issued from 2004 to 2008. Struck in Stainless steel. Measures 26.03 mm and weighs 7 g.
- Obverse
- The National Emblem of Bangladesh: a water lily bordered on two sides by rice sheaves. Above are a three-leaf clover of tea leaves and four stars representing the four principles of the first constitution of Bangladesh in 1972: nationalism, secularism, socialism, and democracy.
- Reverse
- In center a girl and a boy reading book. The letters & numbers in the book are first alphabets (there are 2 sets of alphabets in Bangla) & first number in Bangla language. Around is year of issue with abbreviation ইং GY for Gregorian Year, name of country & motto on education. The face value displays in figures and in full in bottom part.
