Description
50 Stotinov from Slovenia. Issued from 1992 to 2006. Struck in Aluminium-magnesium (98% Aluminium, 2% Magnesium). Measures 20 mm and weighs 0.85 g.
- Obverse
- Embossed square surface with the number "50" impressed into it, the legend "REPUBLIKA SLOVENIJA" running to the left, and the denomination in words reading "PETDESET STOTINOV" and the date to the right (Republic of Slovenia Fifty Stotinov 50 1993)
- Reverse
- A Carniolan honey bee, a subspecies of the western honey bee native to native to Slovenia, southern Austria, and parts of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria, with the Latin name "Apis mellifera" written to the right of it, and the nominal value, expressed in numbers, to the left of the bee.
