Description
2 Euros - Albert II from Belgium. Issued in 2006. Struck in Bimetallic: nickel brass clad nickel centre in copper-nickel ring. Measures 25.75 mm and weighs 8.5 g.
- Obverse
- An image of the Atomium in the center of the coin and the engraver’s initials to right with two mintmarks near the base. The outer ring of the coin features the 12 stars of the European Union, the letter ‘B’ and the year of mintage ‘2006’.
- Reverse
- A map, next to the face value, shows the European continent without borders.
- Edge
- Finely ribbed with edge lettering: six times the sequence "2 * * " alternately upright and inverted
