Description
20 Leva from Bulgaria. Issued in 1997. Struck in Brass. Measures 17.5 mm and weighs 2.5 g.
- Obverse
- The Madara Rider on his horse, killing a lion with a spear. This image is taken from a large carving 100m up on a cliff face. Inscriptions with the sculpture chronicle events throughout the 8th century. The country name surrounds. (Republic of Bulgaria)
- Reverse
- The value in large font in the center (20 LEVA) below the year of issue. Symbols of ancient people of Bulgaria are left from the face fish, right from the face of the sun (20 Leva 1997)
