¼ Anna from India - British. Issued from 1835 to 1849. Struck in Copper. Measures 26.25 mm and weighs 6.48 g.

- Coat of arms of the East India Company: 2 lions, St George's cross on the crest and flags, motto on the ribbon "Auspicio Regis et Senatus Angliae" in three parts. (By the Command of the King and Parliament of England)

- The value in English within a wreath of laurel:ONE QUARTER ANNA Between the tips of the wreath is the value in Persian:"Yek Pai" meaning "One Pice." Around this the legend: EAST INDIA COMPANY All within a raised, plain rim.
