2 Euro Cents - Albert II from Belgium. Issued from 2009 to 2013. Struck in Copper plated steel. Measures 18.75 mm and weighs 3.06 g.
- Obverse
- The left profile portrait of King Albert II (modified from the one on the 1999-2007 coins) is surrounded by the twelve stars of the Union, between two of which are the letters BE for "Belgium" and the royal monogram: an A with the numeral II underneath, topped by a crown. As of 2009, the effigy is again the same as on the 1999-2007 coins, because the change of effigy in 2008 was contrary to the recommendations of the ECOFIN Council.

- A globe locating Europe in the world is drawn on a dynamic canvas composed of the twelve stars of the European Union.
