50 Euro Cents - Albert II from Belgium. Issued in 2008. Struck in Nordic gold. Measures 24.25 mm and weighs 7.8 g.
- Obverse
- The left profile portrait of King Albert II (modified from that on the 1999-2007 coins) is surrounded by the twelve stars of the Union, between two of which are the letters BE for "Belgique" and the royal monogram: an A with the numeral II below, surmounted by a crown. This new national face was created to comply with the new recommendations of the European Central Bank.
