- Two armed lions facing inwards atop the R. Premadasa Presidential Standard. Encircled by the words SRI LANKA in Sinhala on the top, Tamil on the left and English on the right, and ONE RUPEE in all three languages at the bottom, joined together by flower designs. Lotus petal border.
- Reverse
- Portrait of Ranasinghe Premadasa, the second executive president of Sri Lanka within a dotted circle, date below. Bordered by a repeating replica of a traditional moonstone effigy of a swan carrying three lotus blossoms in its beak.
