500 Lire from San Marino. Issued in 1992. Struck in Bimetallic: aluminium bronze centre in stainless steel ring. Measures 25.8 mm and weighs 6.8 g.
- Obverse
- The three towers of San Marino with their featherlike weathervane. In a dented ring gear, motto of the state, around its name.
- Reverse
- Representing C. Columbus's crossing, a ship, a caravel of the 15th century, is pushed by the wind blown by two faces with curly hair on a stormy sea. In a first dented circle the legend, a second around with the travel date and value.
