Description
500 Lire from Italy. Issued in 1999. Struck in Bimetallic: bronzital centre in acmonital ring. Measures 25.8 mm and weighs 6.8 g.
- Obverse
- Female head facing left. The woman symbolizes the Italian Republic with feathered wings coming from temples (symbols of intelligence and freedom). Engraver's name below the neck-cut. (Italian Republic Cretara)
- Reverse
- A ballot box with stars in which are entering stars instead of ballot papers. Below the flags of the European Union divides the years of the anniversary at both sides and below the date. A schematic representation of the Parliament seats in shape of a sail is between the box and the flag. In the outer ring the legend and the value.
