Description
2½ Centimes from Luxembourg. Issued from 1854 to 1908. Struck in Bronze. Measures 21.1 mm and weighs 2.5 g.
- Obverse
- The crowned shield of Luxembourg with a lion with a forked tail, rampant to the left on a field of ten pieces, surrounded by the legend between an inner circle and an external girdle, and a star flanked by privy and mint marks at the bottom (Grand Duchy of Luxembourg)
- Reverse
- Wreath of laurel branches and oak surrounding face value and date, with the engraver's signature at the 6 o'clock position
