Description
20 Francs - Louis XVIII from France. Issued from 1816 to 1824. Struck in Gold (.900). Measures 21 mm and weighs 6.45 g.
- Obverse
- Naked head of Louis XVIII turned to the right, the hair held by a headband tied in the neck. Under this head is inscribed the name of the engraver and a horse's head. The inscription "LOUIS XVIII KING OF FRANCE" on both sides of the head.
- Reverse
- The shield of France crowned between two branches of olive tree, the year is indicated below and the inscription 20 F on both sides of the blazon.
