- Head of King Umberto I facing right with the engraver's name and date below (Umberto I King of Italy 1887)
- Reverse
- The Savoia crowned coat of arms decorated with the Collare dell'Annunziata divides the value and the Star of Italy above the crowned shield with the mintmark below the wreath, on the right, all encircled in a wreath made by a branch of laurel and one of oak. (2 Lire R)
