Bust of Dimitri Ivanovich Mendeleyev and on the right the year of his birth and death "1834" and "1907". At the bottom the semi-circular inscription "D.I. Mendeleyev." Mendeleyev was a Russian chemist and inventor. He is credited with creating the first version of the periodic table of elements.
