- Obverse
- Bust of General Leclerc with the Cathedral of Strasbourg in the background and the symbol of the Free French at right.
- Reverse
- A surrounding wall with palm trees behind. The French flag with the cross of Lorraine. In the spring of 1941, Leclerc and his men vowed in Koufra, a Libyan oasis, not to lay down their arms until they had liberated Strasbourg. (Do not put down your arms until our colors fly again above the Cathedral of Strasbourg. Speech at Koufra March 2, 1941 100F 1994)
