- Circular legend "THE VICTORY OF SAMOTHRACE" / In the center the statue of the Victory of Samothrace / On the right "RF". The Victory of Samothrace is a Greek sculpture representing the goddess Athena Nike (Victory). The statue was discovered in pieces on April 15, 1863, on the island of Samothrace.

- A view of the Louvre Museum with two pyramids, from the main courtyard, is surmounted by the legend "BICENTENNIAL OF THE LOUVRE MUSEUM", the face value being below
