Circular legend "THE VICTORY OF SAMOTHRACE" / In the center the statue of the Victory of Samothrace / On the right "RF". The Victory of Samothrace is a Greek sculpture representing the goddess Athena Nike (Victory). The statue was discovered in pieces on April 15, 1863, on the island of Samothrace.
