Description
2 Afghanis from Afghanistan. Issued from 1383 to 1384. Struck in Stainless steel. Measures 22 mm and weighs 4.1 g.
- Obverse
- Coat of arms of Afghanistan adopted in 2002 consisting in a mosque with two Afghan flags. Inside the mosque, some steps which guide to the mehrab with a prayer rug inside. Surrounding the mosque, sheaves of wheat linked with a sunrise and the date of Afghanistan's independence (1298 / ۱۲۹۸) according to the Persian calendar. In the bottom, a ribbon with the name of the country in Pashto. (1298 Afghanistan)
