- Head of King Vittorio Emanuele III facing left and the name of the engraver below the neck (Vittorio Emanuele III King and Emperor (of Italy) G. Romagnoli)
- Reverse
- Head of a woman (representing Italy) with a fasces at left, in front of her hairs. Fasces is adorned with the Savoy shield and with an axe at left and the value below between dates and mintmark (Italy R XVIII 1939 20 Centesimi)
