¼ Euro from France. Issued in 2002. Struck in Copper-aluminium-nickel. Measures 30 mm and weighs 12.5 g.
- Obverse
- This is the first euro collector coin created by children. A contest was organised in French schools. 30 000 children participated. The Jean Jaures school in Bort les Orgues in the center of France drew the coin and the school in Salmagne, east of France, created the card that goes with the coin.
- Reverse
- Star round resembling childish silhouettes starting from the upper right of the room and rotating in the opposite direction of a watch hand.
