Description
5000 Lire from Italy. Issued in 1993. Struck in Silver (.835). Measures 32 mm and weighs 18 g.
- Obverse
- A cherub, symbol of the University of Pisa, with name of the author below encircled within a decoration taken from the Baptistery (Italian Republic)
- Reverse
- Inside a decorative circle (the same of obverse) the profile of Pisa Baptistery with inside for its left half a section of the building, to show the architectural structure, and for its right half a pendulum. Below are the date and the mint mark. Around the Baptistery, but still inside the decoration a legend in latin. Value is in a second legend, outside the decoration.
