Obverse
The stylized German federal eagle in the shape of a football, the traditional symbol of German sovereignty, is surrounded by the twelve stars of the European Union, the name of the state "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND", the year of issue and the face value "10 EURO".
Reverse
In a shape reminiscent of a soccer ball, players score a goal seen through the net. All around the shape the inscription "FIFA FUSSBALL - WELTMEISTERSCHAFT DEUTSCHLAND 2006 -" (FIFA soccer - world cup Germany 2006).
