- Obverse
- The stylized federal eagle, traditional symbol of German sovereignty. Under the eagle is the name of the state "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND". The face value "10 EURO", the year of issue, the letter "A" of the Berlin workshop is located on the right side of the coin. On the left side are the twelve stars of the European Union.

- A view of the main buildings of the city of Dresden (the Church of Our Lady, the Cosel Palace...) along the Elbe and their reflections in the water with the words "800 YEARS DRESDEN" and the date 2006.
