- Obverse
- The stylized federal eagle, the traditional symbol of German sovereignty, is topped by the twelve stars of the European Union. Under the eagle is the name of the state "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND", the face value "10 EURO" and the letter "J" of the Hamburg workshop. The year of issue is located on the right side of the eagle.
