- A vintage sailboat gliding through Rhode Island's famous Narragansett Bay and an image of the Pell Bridge in the background are accompanied with the state's name ("RHODE ISLAND"), the date of its admission into Union ("1790"), its nickname ("THE OCEAN STATE") and the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM"
