2 Hryvni from Ukraine. Issued in 2003. Struck in Nickel brass (German silver). Measures 31 mm and weighs 12.8 g.
- Obverse
- An allegoric scene of the opening of the Olympic Games: two female figures dressed in tunics are holding a cup with flame and laurel branches, the symbol of peace. Above the square there is engraved the small National Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) (above), 2 ГРИВНІ (2/ Hryvnia) (beneath), 2003 (on the left).
- Reverse
- Represented a helmet boxer. Around the square there are the following inscriptions: ІГРИ/ XXVIII ОЛІМПІАДИ (Olympic Games) (above), OLYMPIC GAMES/ XXVIII (beneath), АФІНИ 2004 (to the left), ATHENS 2004 (on the right).
