Obverse

There is a conventionalized image of the sun and sea, above - there is the coin issue year: 2003, below there are engraved the small National Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 5 ГРИВЕНЬ (Ukraine/ 5/ hryvnia), as well as the Mint logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine

Reverse

Against the background of sea there is a collage made of depictions of architectural monuments and modern buildings; in the center there is a two-lined inscription: ЄВПАТОРІЯ, 2500 років (Yevpatoria / 2500 Years). In the foreground there is depicted an amphora with a sea gull sitting on it.
