5 Hryven from Ukraine. Issued in 2003. Struck in Nickel brass (German silver). Measures 35 mm and weighs 16.54 g.

Obverse
Above - the coin issue year, under which - the small National Emblem of Ukraine and a three-lined inscription: УКРАЇНА, 5 ГРИВЕНЬ (Ukraine/ 5/ hryvnia); on the right side of the coin there is depicted a memorial plaque and eternal flame. On the coin there is also as the logotype of the NBU Mint is depicted.
Reverse
At the top a map of the Soviet troops advance, below which there is a conventionalized scene of the Dnipro river forced crossing; in the background there is depicted a panorama of the City of Kyiv; as well as the following inscriptions: above - a three-lined inscription: 60 РОКІВ ВИЗВОЛЕННЯ КИЄВА (60 Years of the liberation of Kyiv), beneath to the left - there is a semicircular inscription - ВЕЛИКА ВІТЧИЗНЯНА ВІЙНА (Second World War)
