2 Hryvni from Ukraine. Issued in 2004. Struck in Nickel brass (German silver). Measures 31 mm and weighs 12.8 g.

Obverse

There is a depiction of a composition in the form of a laser disk, in the center of which there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine; on both sides of which there are objects and formulas symbolizing various sciences and the following inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (UKRAINE) (above in semicircle), 2004, 2 ГРИВНІ (2 Hryvni) and the Mint logo of the National bank of Ukraine.

Reverse

Building of the university (1837-1843, architect V. Beretti) and the following inscriptions: КИЇВСЬКИЙ НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ (above in semicircle), under it - 1834 and УНІВЕРСИТЕТ ІМЕНІ ТАРАСА ШЕВЧЕНКА (beneath in three lines (Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University).
