Obverse
With its famous events and world records Planica has helped build the reputation of the sport in Slovenia, and the profile of Slovenia in the rest of the world. This was one of the reasons why Slovenia decided to issue collector coins to commemorate the 21st flight of the World Ski Championships. The obverse of the coins features a stylized takeoff ramp, which turns into a linear representation of lifting winds, while the motif is repeated on the reverse, with the body of a ski aviator hovering over it.
