2 Hryvni from Ukraine. Issued in 2010. Struck in Nickel brass (German silver). Measures 31 mm and weighs 12.8 g.

Obverse
There are depicted: the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine and the semicircular inscription НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) (above); the allegorical sculptures that symbolize sciences and arts and are located on the university main building; the coin face value and mintage year: 2/ГРИВНI/2010 (2 / hryvnias / 2010) and the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
Reverse
There is depicted the main university building erected in the last third of the XIX-th century from the design by the architect Julian Zachariewicz. Over the edifice there is the bow-shaped inscription LITTERIS*ET*ARTIBUS (for sciences and arts) existing on the building itself. There are also the circular inscription (National University “Lviv Polytechnic”) and the legend (165 years) below.
