Obverse
There are: the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the inscription there under above (National Bank of Ukraine), the composition representing a conventionalized flower of Chervona Ruta (a flower of the Ukrainian legends related to Ivan Kupala (St. John the Baptist Day) against the background of an ornamental pattern (to the left), electric musical instruments (to the right) and the coin face value and issue year: (2 hryvni 2009) below.
Reverse
There are Volodymyr Ivasiuk’s portrait amid the viburnum leaves against the background of a conventionalized vinyl record and the inscriptions: the semicircular (Volodymyr Ivasiuk) and the years of his life.
