Obverse

There are depicted the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular inscription Національний банк України (National Bank of Ukraine) above, the goaltender and interlacing of the geometrical lines representing the skate tracings, which makes the composition more dynamic; the coin face value and issue year 2/ГРИВНІ/2010 (2/hryvnias) are indicated below.

Reverse

There are depicted: in the foreground an ice-hockey player of nowadays, in the background – the players of the 20th century beginning against the background of conventionalized towers of Lviv where the first hockey matches took place.
