Description
20 Lire from Italy. Issued in 1928. Struck in Silver (.600). Measures 35.5 mm and weighs 20 g.
- Obverse
- Head of King Vittorio Emanuele III in military uniform and with helmet facing left. At right, around the rim, name of the author and the engraver (KING VICTOR EMMANUEL III)
- Reverse
- Upper part of the Fascio Littorio (the same of km# 63), with on its right an axe adorned with a lion head. On the axe of the fascio there is a motto, while on the bindings there are dates in roman numbers (up the date of the end of the War, below the present year). Left of the Fascio are the value and the mintmark. (1918-1928 BETTER TO LIVE A DAY AS A LION THAN A HUNDRED YEARS AS A SHEEP)
