Description
1 Sizain from France. Issued in 1793. Struck in Bronze. Measures 25 mm and weighs 6.11 g.
- Obverse
- The inscriptions in seven lines on a table topped by a radiant eye and flanked by a bunch of grapes and five ears of wheat. The signature of Dupré at the bottom of the table. (French Republic The people are equal under the law Year 2)
- Reverse
- Scale with Phrygian cap on the flail on which rests an oak crown; in the center 1/2 S. (Liberty Equality ½ S[ol] H 1793)
- Edge
- Rough (striking without ferrule).
