Description
5 Francs from Republic of Piedmont. Issued from 9 to 10. Struck in Silver (.900). Measures 37 mm and weighs 25 g.
- Obverse
- Subalpine Gaul and France standing frontally, holding a palm and a crown, a pike surmounted by a Phrygian cap and a level. Signature on the left of the base. French legends in periphery.
- Reverse
- In the center: face value, year and different in a vegetable crown, formed of a palm and an olive branch. Currencies in periphery. The word "ERIDANIA" that appears on the gold and silver coins means "region bathed by the river Po" (from the Latin ERIDANUS). The heart indicates the workshop of Turin.
- Edge
- Decorated with a flower pattern
