Forward-facing portrait of Phra. Upali Nahimi within plain interrupted circle, flanked on either side by the dates 1753 and 2003, and the number 250 in larger font across the lower part of the portrait. Legend PHRA. UPALI NAHIMI above, Sinhala on top, Tamil and English on either side in the outer circle. SYAMOPASAMPADA ANNIVERSARY in Sinhala bridging the gap in the inner circle, with the same in Tamil and English in smaller lettering below in the outer rim, separated from the legend above by five-pointed stars.
