Description
5 Hryven from Ukraine. Issued in 2000. Struck in Nickel brass (German silver). Measures 35 mm and weighs 16.54 g.
- Obverse
- At its upper part there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine; on the background of the Mitrydat hill there is a bracelet made of archeological finds of Kul-Oba kurgan; on the hill both sides there are conventionalized depictions of Black and Azov Seas, as well as inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) 2000, 5, ГРИВЕНЬ (5/Hryvnias) and the Mint logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine.

- At the center there is a depiction of the ionic order column, a monument in the town of Kerch; above the column there are coins of Pantikapaeum, on the column left side against the background of a town landscape there is the church of John the Baptist, the monument of 10th-14th century; on the column right side there are stairs leading to the Mitrydat hill and semicircular inscriptions: КЕРЧ 2600 (Kerch/ 2600)
