2 Hryvni from Ukraine. Issued in 2009. Struck in Nickel brass (German silver). Measures 31 mm and weighs 12.8 g.

Obverse

There is depicted the Coat of Arms of Zaporizhzhia Oblast to the left whereof there is the National Bank of Ukraine Mint logo; also there are: the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular inscription Національний банк України (National Bank of Ukraine) above, ornamental patterns formed by oak leaves, the coin issue year 2009 and face value ДВІ/ГРИВНІ (two/hryvnias) below.

Reverse

There is a composition: in the foreground, against the background of conventionalized Dnieper's waves, there are depicted a stone baba (kurhan stele), charactersistic for the steppe part of Ukraine, and a cannon of Zaporizhian Sich epoch; in the background - DniproHES dam; above there is the semicircular inscription ЗАПОРІЗЬКА 1939 ОБЛАСТЬ (Zaporizhzhia 1939 Oblast) and thereunder - ornamental patterns formed by oak leaves.
